I didn't realize the plastic needed to cover part of the sides. Scrap the rigid plastic idea. How about finding someone who does auto and boat upholstery and see if they can sew clear plastic material, similar to seat covers, into your tank bag. Sounds good, but I have a feeling that the labor may cost more than a new bag.
Now, let me get this right - is it one down, four up?
