I may not be able to make it. I am with the Army Reserve and my retirement plans have been delayed until the summer of 2009. It is not set in stone at this time but it's not looking good. Lets keep the planning going because this would be really cool. Hopefully things will work out for me to make it.

Phil;

  You do what you have to do. We appreciate your service to our country and we thank you for keeping us safe and free.

  We will keep hoping and praying you can make it.

You are welcome for the Thank You. I was scheduled to retire from the Army Reserve in February/March. We sold the house and moved into an RV anticipating a summer of fun and travel. We had checked and double checked that date and it looked good. Turns out this will not happen until about a year from now. I cannot tell you how thrilled we were. I am thankful we did not give notice to our civilian jobs.
I do think this meeting of the MCN Forum is important and the planning should go forth. If we do it right then we may be able to make this a habit.

So, Are we still on for this event?  I'm filling out my calendar and would like to pencil it in.

Do we have any firm dates?

Well, looks like 2008 was a BUST. I went to G-Burg a couple of times but didn't see any obvious MCN readers. The new visitor center is nice but a bit pricey at $7.50 for a movie and admission to the museum. Didn't stay overnight so I don't have any report on accommodations.

Any thoughts on setting up a 2009 Get Together? My calendar is free for most of the spring, summer, and fall right now.
