I have looked on line and can up with Jeans called "Draggin Jeans".
They are lined with Kelvar and said to protect you more than Jeans if you go down. They cost $80.00 +/_.
Question, has anyone used them and do they work. Sounds good but so does a lot of Ads. Any Ideas?

Kevlar won't rip/shred like denim will, so the likelihood of asphalt rash is drastically reduced, but absent some decent armor the impact is still an issue...
For more comprehensive info re: protective qualities of various materials visit http://www.motoport.com/
It's downright interesting...

Santa and Mike bring up a couple of interesting questions. Is there any body armor made for the street that can be used in conjunction with Draggin Jeans that doesn't make you look like you just competed in a motocross event?
Now, let me get this right - is it one down, four up?

| There is a company making something called Under-Armor. Its padding in/on some breathable lycra-type material. Its gotta be better'n nuthing. Machine washable, padding and all. I couldnt make biker fashion and protection work for me at the same time. Thus, I got an Aerostich Roadcrafter. I can remove it when I am not riding and make the switch from heinious biker trash to regular dude as the situation allows. The over-garment concept works for me. Occasionally, people ask me what it is? My usual reply is, "Specialized motorcycle apparel. Think of it as a convenient body bag without the handles. I am a full-carcass donor." Dang! I hate winter PMS.

| I just learned of TuffnLite products from an article in Road Runner Magazine. Has anyone out there tried it?
