Well?

Its been a cuppla weeks. I did you get this resolved?

Enquiring minds want to know?

I am with rneilsen and HCP.

Run the cage's jumper cables to the bike and switch 'on'. Does anything smoke?  Are all the lights lit up? If the lights dont light, The key switch is suspect.

Try the starter button.

I suspect the battery and any/all the heavy cable batt connections.

nobody rides half as well as they know how.

90% of the time it's the battery.  I've had them run perfect, shut it off and then ...............................

The 1500's have a very weak alternator and you need to use a battery charger to keep the battery up and charged.  Many 1500 users went to a aftermarket Compu-Fire alternator which works great.  The stocker at idle will not charge the battery.  I can attest to the Compu-Fire, it rocks!
